Friday Spring 2016
We are up to 8 teams for our spring league this year. Each team will play a 7-week round robin schedule followed by 2 weeks of playoffs. Since we will play 9 games (at $30 a night), the league fee will be $270. If you already paid $300, we will credit you $30. It is great to have 32 people out on the ice each week. If you have any questions or concerns, please email Billy Reynolds (firstname.lastname@example.org). Good curling this spring!

League Formatting Details:
This season’s league will last a total of 9 weeks. First, we will play a full round robin consisting of 7 weeks. Each team will play every other team in the field. A win is worth 2 points, a tie is worth 1 point, and a loss is worth 0 points. The tiebreaker will be a team’s total score gap. Then the standings at the conclusion of the round robin will be used to determine playoff seeding. The playoffs will last 2 weeks. The top 4 seeds will play for 1st through 4th place, whereas the bottom four seeds will play for 5th through 8th place. We will use a standard single-knockout format in the playoffs.
NOTE: The playoffs in this bracket will employ a straightforward single elimination format. First, in the semifinals, the highest seed will play the lowest seed, while the two middle seeds will play. Then, in the last week of league, the winners will play for the league championship, and the losers will play for 3rd place.
